Staff

Maryann Dennis has been the Executive Director of the Housing Fellowship since January 1993. She has extensive experience in working with low-income families and the administration of federal and private funding sources. She currently oversees all operations in addition to The Housing Fellowship’s HTFJC, CDBG, HOME, FHLB, LIHTC contracts and partnership agreements. Ms. Dennis is a certified Housing Development Finance Professional through the National Development Council. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work Administration and Social Development from the University of Iowa. She serves as ex-officio of the Housing Trust Fund of Johnson County, is Vice-President of the Johnson County Affordable Housing Coalition and is a member of Iowa City’s Invest Health Initiative awarded to Iowa City from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She serves as Consultant to Shelter House for the first Housing First project in IA. Ms. Dennis served on the Iowa City’s Riverfront Crossings Inclusionary Housing Committee, Johnson County Housing Task Force, the Equity Advisory Committee of the ICCSD, and the Board of Directors of United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties. She was awarded the 2016 Kay Anderson Friend of Iowa Award from the Iowa Finance Authority.

Ross Resetich, Chief Financial Officer joined The Housing Fellowship in February 2018. Mr. Resetich was most recently the CFO of DHL International, is a CPA and holds a MBA.

Tashundra Gathright, a University of Iowa Graduate in Social Work, joined THF as Compliance Specialist in 2008. Ms. Gathright is the only certified tax credit compliance specialist in Johnson County. She completes all income qualifications for applicants and tenants and prepares all reports for funders. Tashundra is the go to person for the many rules that come with the funding for the development of and compliance with affordable housing.

Tammy Vorhies, Project Manager has been employed at THF since 2004. She has an A.A. degree in marketing from Ellsworth Community College in marketing. As Project Manager, Ms. Vorhies is responsible for all property management activities for THF, including managing the maintenance department.

Linda Newmire, Office Manager, joined THF in 2013. Ms. Newmire is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. In addition to all clerical duties and supply procurement, she processes all rental housing applications.

Tom Costa and Silas Hugill, are full -time maintenance staff members. They are responsible for completing repairs and maintaining our properties.

The Housing Fellowship has a contract with Advanced Maintenance to complete emergency repairs after hours and on weekends.
